What a fun week we have had celebrating some INFINITY ACHIEVERS this week! This week, we started our first Infinity Achievers Day and that brought some great celebrations to our classrooms. Twice a month, we will randomly pick 4-5 classrooms and celebrate the growth of students in that classroom! Students get an opportunity to show off their data tracking notebook and be celebrated for their growth. Check out our Facebook page for pics during our first round of MVP celebrations! Can't wait to celebrate more growth at the end of the month!
Open House:
Join us for Open House on Wednesday, September 17th, from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Please make plans to join us and learn more about academic expectations for all grade levels & how you can best support your student this year! Families in attendance will be entered to win a family fun basket courtesy of Rose Heights Church!
Clarkston Physical Education (PE) Spirit Night @ Canes Chicken:
Help Coach Johnson raise funds for gym materials and events and have a yummy dinner with your family...that's a win-win! Stop by Canes Chicken, on 513 S SE Loop 323, after Open House, and grab dinner! Mention Clarkston Elementary when you order and a portion of your dinner cost will be donated to Clarkston. Thank you for supporting our school!
Pizza by the Slice:
Our first Pizza by the Slice day is coming up! Friday, September 19th. ALL money is due no later than Wednesday, September 17th @11am. We cannot make exceptions to the due date/time due to ordering processes with our pizza vendor. Students are not allowed to have individual pizzas delivered to our front offices on these days. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact me. The pizza slices are the larger slice size, are $2 each, and are delivered to students @2pm on the day of the event.
Beanstack Reading Challenge:
We are diving into our first reading challenge for all of our Pre-K -- 5th grade students! Challenge winners will earn a prize with Mrs. Kinney, in the library! See flyer below for challenge details.
Student-led Conference Night:
Please make plans to join us on October 16, 2025 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. As part of our Title I Parent/School compact, we are required to give parents regular updates on student growth an performance. During student-led conference night, your student will take you through their progress so far this year and will discuss with you their academic strengths and what they need, support wise. Teachers will also be in classrooms to answer any questions and support. All parents must have a conference with student/teacher in the fall. Any parent not in attendance at this event will be required to come to school, on a day scheduled by the teacher, to discuss student progress so far this year. Your attendance on student-led conference night prevents you from having to come up to the school during the work day!
