Families: we need your help with morning arrival! Morning arrival, at the cafe doors, is from 7:00am--7:50am, daily. At 7:50am, we shut the cafe doors so that our staff can begin instruction. If you arrive with your student at 7:51am or later, you must drive them around to the front office and walk them in to sign them in for the day. Please do not drop your students off at the cafe doors after 7:50am as there are no adults to let the students in the building there at that time--this is a huge safety concern. Thank you for your support and compliance with this matter.
We are proud of our Cougars selected to participate in Punt, Pass, Kick on Saturday, November 1st! Good luck, Cougars!
4th Grade visits The Cowan Center Wednesday, November 5th to see a production of The Little Mermaid. We are excited for our students to experience this event!
Pizza by the Slice:
Our November Pizza by the Slice day is coming up! Friday, November 7th. ALL money is due no later than Wednesday, November 5th @11am. We cannot make exceptions to the due date/time due to ordering processes with our pizza vendor. Students are not allowed to have individual pizzas delivered to our front offices on these days. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact me. The pizza slices are the larger slice size, are $2 each, and are delivered to students @2pm on the day of the event.
PTA Reflections Art Contest:
Texas PTA is now accepting entries for their annual Reflections Art Contest. This year's theme is "I Belong". Students can submit artwork in dance choreography, visual arts, photography, music composition, literature, and film production. If you are interested in your child participating, entry forms are with Ms. Katie-our art teacher--please reach out to Ms. Katie at kathryn.robinson@tylerisd.org, reach out to PTA at clarkstoncougarpta@gmail.com, or have your student grab an entry form from the art room at school. All entries must be turned in by November 20th.
Veteran's Day:
If you have a veteran in your family, we would like to honor them in our Veterans Day morning announcements video. Please send a picture of your veteran to Mrs. Kinney, with your veteran’s name so that we can place them in our video! Please send your picture and veteran's name to lana.kinney@tylerisd.org no later than Friday, November 7th.
Grade Level Newsletters:
All of our grade levels provide a printed, monthly newsletter to families. Our newsletters are designed to keep families informed of the learning and events happening in our classrooms each month. Please use the link hereto access grade level newsletters, if you are needing an electronic copy. Click on your student's grade level in this folder to access the newsletter for your student.
Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour this weekend as we end our daylight savings time!
