We have officially stared the 2nd nine weeks grading period! Kindergarten--5th grade families, we encourage you to login to Parent Portal weekly to check your students' grades. Checking in on grades and student progress, both academically and behaviorally, is a great way to support your student for a successful school year. To login to parent portal, please visit this link. The annual pumpkin book character contest starts next week! Decorate a storybook pumpkin & bring your pumpkin to the library any time next week(Oct. 20-24). Pumpkins will be displayed in the library until Friday, October 31st. Please remember--no carved pumpkins, no candy/food items attached to the pumpkin.
Class parties--our campus hosts class parties for Winter & End of the Year. We do not host class parties for Halloween. Please do not send Halloween treats to the classroom on October 31st. Please do send individually wrapped candy to school next week to donate to our Trunk or Treat at the Fall Festival! :-)

Fall Festival:
PTA is collecting bags of individually wrapped candy for our Fall Festival! If you are able to donate a bag of candy for the festival, please send with your student to school. We will be collecting bags of candy from Monday, September 29th--Thursday, October 23rd.
Fall Festival, sponsored by PTA, will take place on Friday, October 24th from 5:30pm-7:00pm in the Clarkston front parking lot. This year's event will be bigger than years past and we are excited to have all of our families with us for this event! Concessions, train rides, and the dunk tank will be sold for a small cost, but trunk or treat and the games are free to all in attendance! See flyer below for more details.

Book Character Parade:
We are getting ready for our annual Book Character Parade! Students are invited to bring their favorite book & dress as their favorite book character as we parade through the school! Students cannot wear masks or have weapons with their costumes--any students out of compliance will be removed from the parade.
Parents are welcome to come and watch the character parade! Please see the flyer below for parade times, check in at the front office, and head down to the cafe for the parent viewing area on Friday, October 31st.
