A Note from Mrs. Cureton...

Thank you to our families who attended Open House this week! We enjoyed learning with you all and hope that you all enjoyed the event.

4th & 5th grade are excited to visit the East Texas State Fair next week! 4th grade will attend the fair on Monday, September 22nd. 5th Grade will attend the fair on Tuesday, September 23rd. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about the field trip!

Attendance Awareness:

Did you know that tardies, even just 5 minutes late, equals missed learning opportunities? Our day begins @7:50am, with Morning Meeting-a crucial time each day where we make connections and build relationships with students and teachers. Please help us support your student best by getting them to school no later than 7:50am.

Help us celebrate great attendance during our spirit week--see flyer below.

Fall Pictures:

Fall picture day is October 2nd! Picture order forms have been sent home with students. Lifetouch School Photography, known for capturing school pictures from K-12 nationwide, will take our school photos this year. For more information about Picture Day, check out the flyer sent home with students Thursday, 9/26, or visit:

https://my.lifetouch.com/mylifetouch/#/ Picture Day ID: EVT2QHR4Z .  All classes will take pictures between 8:00am--10:00am on Oct. 2nd.

Student-led Conference Night:

Please make plans to join us on October 16, 2025 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. As part of our Title I Parent/School compact, we are required to give parents regular updates on student growth an performance. During student-led conference night, your student will take you through their progress so far this year and will discuss with you their academic strengths and what they need, support wise. Teachers will also be in classrooms to answer any questions and support. All parents must have a conference with student/teacher in the fall. Any parent not in attendance at this event will be required to come to school, on a day scheduled by the teacher, to discuss student progress so far this year. Your attendance on student-led conference night prevents you from having to come up to the school during the work day!

Grade Level Newsletters:

All of our grade levels provide a printed, monthly newsletter to families. Our newsletters are designed to keep families informed of the learning and events happening in our classrooms each month. Please use the link here to access grade level newsletters, if you are needing an electronic copy. Click on your student's grade level in this folder to access the newsletter for your student.

Have a great weekend!
