What a turnout we had at the PTA Family Game Night & Glow Art Show! Thank you to all of our families in attendance & thank you to our PTA for putting on this free event for our families!
We are quickly approaching the end of the school year and 3 weeks of several events on campus! We hope that families are able to join us at these events during this last month of school!
Teacher & Staff Appreciation week: next week, May 4th-8th is our teacher & staff appreciation week. To celebrate our amazing crew at Clarkston, we invite all of our students to participate in the dress up days and appreciation activities in the flyer below. Thank you for helping us to celebrate our staff!
Field Day: Friday, May 8th. All parents, with a valid ID, can attend. If you would like to help run a station at field day, you must be an approved Tyler ISD volunteer-please contact your child's teacher if you would like to volunteer. Students will need weather appropriate attire & sunscreen--sunscreen cannot be applied by teachers, so please apply on your student before coming to school on Friday.
Pre-K & 5th Grade Promotion Ceremonies: Pre-k & 5th grade parents--please join us Thursday, May 21st @9:00am (5th grade) or @10:00am (Pre-K) for our promotion ceremonies! The ceremonies will take place in the cafe. Balloons, streamers, and noise makers are not allowed at the ceremonies, but you are welcome to bring other items to celebrate your student(s). All visitors at the ceremonies must have a valid ID to enter the school. Please contact your student's teachers for more details.
Academy Awards: Join us as we celebrate accomplishments of all our students during grade level award ceremonies! See graphic below with dates and times for each ceremony.
End of Year Parties: Thursday, May 21st OR Friday, May 22nd--party dates & times for each grade level below. Contact your child's teacher with any questions about grade level parties. Parents are welcome to attend parties--you must check in with front office & receive a visitor badge before going to the parties.
Early Release Day: Friday, May 22nd. Students will be released @12:45pm on this day. Boys and Girls Club(BGC) will NOT be open on the 22nd--any students who attend BGC will need an alternative plan for dismissal @12:45pm on this day.
2025-2026 Yearbook: If you'd like to purchase a yearbook for the 25-26 school year, please use the link below to order. Yearbooks are $10 and can only be ordered online! 5th Grade Track Meet: Wednesday, May 13th @ Legacy High School. This event is for all 5th grade students! If you have not gotten your child's permission slip to attend, please contact your child's homeroom teacher or Coach Johnson.
Career Day: Friday, May 15th, 9am-11:30am. Parents/family members...do you have a career that you'd like to share about with our Cougars? If so, we'd love to have you on campus for Career Day! Please complete this form to indicate your interest and one of our staff members will contact you regarding the event. .
