A Note from Mrs. Cureton...

We've had a great first week back from Winter Break! If you & your family are new to our campus-welcome! We are glad to have you in Cougar Nation! Please let us know if you need help in getting connected with Class Dojo-our school points tracker & communication tool, campus texts, or your student's teacher...we are here to partner with you to best support your student!

Starting next week and continuing through the end of the month, all of our Pre-K--5th grade students will take their middle of the year academic progress assessments. We are excited to see the results of the tremendous efforts your students are making here at school!

Parents, please help us to create the best environment for your student to succeed on their assessments by making sure they get a good night's rest and are at school no later than 7:50am each day. Once we have concluded our assessment windows, we will send home assessment reports for each student so that you guys are able to celebrate the growth we expect to see at home!

Pizza by the Slice:

Our January Pizza by the Slice day is coming up! Friday, January 16th. ALL money is due no later than Wednesday, January 14th @11am. We cannot make exceptions to the due date/time due to ordering processes with our pizza vendor. Students are not allowed to have individual pizzas delivered to our front offices on these days. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact me. The pizza slices are the larger slice size, are $2 each, and are delivered to students @2pm on the day of the event.

5th Grade Families:

All 5th graders will travel to Hubbard Middle School on Thursday, January 15th, for a preview day. Students will travel by bus to Hubbard at 8:45am and return back to camps at approximately 11:30am.

Some 5th grade students have also been asked to attend a preview day at Moore Middle School (January 13th) and/or Caldwell Middle School (January 23rd). If your student has been asked to attend either/both of these preview days, they should have brought a permission slip home--if you

A note from Nurse Ellis:

Attention guardians of 10 & 12 year old girls: The campus nurse will be conducting state mandated spinal screenings beginning January 2026. If you do not wish for your child to be screened, please contact Kelly Ellis, RN (903-262-1994) with screening results from a licensed Texas screener.

Math, Makers, & PANCAKES!

Please join us for our annual Math, Makers, & More Night on Thursday, January 22nd from 5:30pm--6:30pm. We will have free, fun math & STEM activities for families to complete at the event & take home for more fun at home! PTA will also have a pancake dinner in the café for families--$5/plate. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

26-27 School Year Pre-K Enrollment:

Accessing Student Grades Online:

Families--we encourage you to sign up for a Parent Portal account so that you can access your students grades at any time! You can also set up your Parent Portal account to notify you when: your student has a missing assignment or receives a grade below a certain score.
