A Note from Mrs. Cureton...

Next week is our last week before Winter Break! Several events coming up next week...see below for details on the Winter Program, Winter Break Spirit Week, winter parties, & early release on December 19th!

Early Release: Reminder that Friday, December 19th, is an early release day for students. ALL students will dismiss at 12:45pm on Friday. Boys and Girls Club will not be open Friday-please make sure arrangements are made Boys and Girls Club students.

Winter Parties: We are excited to celebrate the upcoming holidays at our winter parties! Parents are welcome to join at their student's designated grade level party date/time. (Party times below)

Clarkston Winter Program: Thursday, December 18th @Hubbard Middle School--5:45pm

All grade levels will perform at this event--there will not be a play in the program this year--just grade levels signing. Students attend this event with their parents/guardians--they cannot be dropped off without an adult. All PK-5 students should arrive at Hubbard MS-front entrance- between 5:15pm--5:30pm so that students are in place for a 5:45pm start time.

When bringing your child, follow these steps for a smooth arrival:

1. Hubbard is located at the corner of New Copeland Rd & Hubbard Dr.

2. Turn into the front of the school, by the flagpoles.

3. Park in the front parking lot, or across the street in the bank parking lot.

5. Enter through the front doors of the school (main entrance). Our staff will be there to ensure a warm welcome and assist your child inside.

6. This is also the same door parents may enter when coming to see the program!

Clarkston PTA Holiday Shop

Note from PTA: If you have not heard about our holiday shop, check your student's backpack!  Your parent letter with all the fun information should come home with your student's shopping list/payment envelope attached.  Then, get ready to spread some cheer and sleigh the holiday season as our Cougars get set to shop Clarkston PTA’s Holiday Shop!

Students will have a scheduled time to shop with their class: PK--2nd: December 17th; 3rd-5th: December 16th.

Gift items start at 50 cents and go up to $14.00--students can shop for Mom, Dad, Grandma, or whoever you assist them in planning their budget for and writing on their envelope/list.  *Please return your student’s gift list to their teacher with cash enclosed in the envelope provided, on the date that your student's class shops the store (Pk-2nd Dec 17th; 3rd-5th Dec 16th).

Please note, we will not be able to make the Holiday Shop happen without volunteers!  Please see the dates/times on the SignUp Genius Holiday Shop Volunteer Link and join us if you can.  We promise it's going to be a big, fun time with our kids!

*To ensure every student gets to participate in the Holiday Shop, we have added a donation button on our CheddarUp to assist students in enjoying the spirit of holiday shopping who otherwise may not be able to.

We will also have the Holiday Shop set up at Hubbard Middle School during Clarkston's Winter Program, Thursday, December 18th.

5th grade families:

Are you interested in your student participating in the Math Science and Technology Program at Moore Middle School for 6th grade? Moore will host a Recruitment Evening on January 27, 6pm to preview the specific offerings of the magnet program. This event is designed to answer frequently asked questions from applicants. We hope to see your family there and we encourage you to contact Moore Middle School to learn more about the Math, Science and Technology Magnet Program. The magnet program application window is open January 15, 2026--March 15, 2026.

Grade Level Newsletters:

All of our grade levels provide a printed, monthly newsletter to families. Our newsletters are designed to keep families informed of the learning and events happening in our classrooms each month. Please use the link here to access grade level newsletters, if you are needing an electronic copy. Click on your student's grade level in this folder to access the newsletter for your student.
