We are SO proud of how hard all of our 3rd-5th grade students have worked the past 2 weeks on the STAAR assessments. Student STAAR scores will not be released to families until June 16th from TEA. As soon as we have word that scores have been released, parents will receive notification from the district/campus.
We are excited for our campus-wide Junior Achievement Day on Monday, April 27th, for all of our PK-5th grade classrooms! On this day, student and adult volunteers from our community come to campus to discuss and facilitate activities on financial literacy. It's a great day of learning and fun! We are quickly approaching the end of the school year and a month of several events on campus! We hope that families are able to join us at these events during this last month of school!
Tyler ISD's Arts Fest: TOMORROW, April 25th, 9am-2pm @ Legacy High School. Make plans to join us at our annual art festival for Tyler ISD. Students all around the district--including our very own Cougars--will have artwork on display. Come have fun with us at this free family event!
2025-2026 Yearbook: If you'd like to purchase a yearbook for the 25-26 school year, please use the link below to order. PTA Family Game Night: Thursday, April 30th, 5:30pm-6:45pm, in the cafe. Please join us in the cafe for a night of free, family fun! PTA will have concessions for purchase at the event.
5th Grade Track Meet: Wednesday, May 13th @ Legacy High School. This event is for all 5th grade students! If you have not gotten your child's permission slip to attend, please contact your child's homeroom teacher or Coach Johnson.
Career Day: Friday, May 15th, 9am-11:30am. Parents/family members...do you have a career that you'd like to share about with our Cougars? If so, we'd love to have you on campus for Career Day! Please complete this form to indicate your interest and one of our staff members will contact you regarding the event.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation week: May 4th-8th is our teacher & staff appreciation week. To celebrate our amazing crew at Clarkston, we invite all of our students to participate in the dress up days and appreciation activities in the flyer below. Thank you for helping us to celebrate our staff!
Field Day: Friday, May 8th! Grade level schedule posted in the flyer below. Families are welcome to attend, but must check in at the front office and receive a visitor badge first.
Pre-K & 5th Grade Promotion Ceremonies: Pre-k & 5th grade parents--please join us Thursday, May 21st @9:00am (5th grade) or @10:00am (Pre-K) for our promotion ceremonies! The ceremonies will take place in the cafe. Balloons, streamers, and noise makers are not allowed at the ceremonies, but you are welcome to bring other items to celebrate your student(s). All visitors at the ceremonies must have a valid ID to enter the school. Please contact your student's teachers for more details.
